I thought the final time you see Eva brought up a lot of questions. Did she deserve being in that nursing home? Had she always been crazy like that? Both are hard questions and don't really have a definite answer. One thing is for sure, Eva went through a lot in her life.

Comparison of Hannah and Sula

The writer herself compares Hannah and Sula, she compares the way they both look in an apron and their tendencies to sleep around with many man.  The latter is the biggest similarity.  But how they go about it is very different.  Hannah was unresistably sweet, and seemed satisfied with her "busy" lifestyle.  Sula doesn't have the same sweet disposition as Hannah and seems to be sleeping around in search of some sort of satisfaction that she still hasn't found.

The Hottest Day

The day was so fucking hot that dogs baked under the shade of cars and porches. The smart ones simply shed their fur in one whole piece, leaving it on the ground like it was nothing more than a banana peel. The scorched town soon became a zoo of naked dogs with bad sunburns, day and night, searching for their elegant coats.
